I just got a call from this number asking for my elderly mother-in-law, who does not live here. No id information beyond the number was given. All I could get from the caller was that the call concerned "health and safety". In the background were a multitude of voices, leading me to think this is a large operation.
This is my number It has been stolen by some fraudulent telemarketing company. Contact your service provider and get the actual number that called because the caller ID is fake. I promise I didn't call you I live out of state. Repot the actual number that called to the authorities because they are commiting fraud. Do not give any information or purchase anything from whoever contacts you from this phone number. Do not call me back I WILL NOT ANSWER ANY CALLS FROM A CALIFORNIA NUMBER. YOU WILL GET MY VOICEMAIL WITH THIS SAME INFO.
If anyone can find the true phone number that is trying to call them please post it here and text it to me I would love to sue this company for harassment, and attempting to commit fraud using a false identity (mine) thank you. Because this company is calling you and not me I don't have the ability to look up the true number with my service provider.
Some foreign sounding guy (possibly from India) called to say he was from a company called "Windows Technical Department" and that my computer alerted them to hackers that were downloading bogus software without my knowledge or permission. So I played dumb and said it was my husbands computer and I didn't know anything about it. I asked him his name and he said, "John Wilson, ID # J2210." Then I asked if my husband could call him back and he gave the number 202-204-4467. I looked that up and it supposedly belongs to a woman in Washington DC.
What "John" wanted me to do was key in whatever he told me to. I think this would have given him access to my computer. What a joke.
This number is a scam, do not call or communicate. They just scammed us for a $1,000.00 by giving us instructions to purchase Pay Power Reloaded cards in order to make a payment to PowerStream. They new our payment amounts and our address and phone number.
