226-122-1233: I received a call from "Albert" suggesting that my number had been randomly selected for a grant of $5,500 because each year the government selects 1,700 people who pay their taxes on time and have no criminal record within the past 12 months. I asked how he got my number and he said he was with the government. I asked what country he was calling from and he hung up.
226-130-2906: I received an automated call from 226-130-2906 today stating that they were the govt. I had committed some sort of crime regarding my S.I.N. and that if I did not press one immediately and talk to the person I would be arrested and taken before a majistrate. I hung up and called the govt. who confirmed it was not them and took the information for investigation. I then called my local O.P.P. to inform them as well. If you get a call do not answer - report it to your local O.P.P. so that these people will not be able scam some unsuspecting people who may press 1. Be careful, be safe.
